Streetscape Work along K Street Corridor Continues

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be advancing work on K Street, NW by moving the construction activity to the north side of K Street from 3rd Street, NW to 6th Street, NW on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, weather permitting.

Safety barricades will be moved to create a protection barrier for motorists and pedestrians as the work activity shifts to the north side. As the work progresses, residents and businesses will be notified if access to their entryways will be impacted.

The north side lane work includes: pavement repair and remaining milling along the south side lanes.

One traffic lane in each direction will be maintained along the south side of K Street.

All work will be conducted from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday work may be required, as needed.

Parking will be restricted within the limits of construction. Motorists are advised to avoid K Street by using adjacent roads.

DDOT encourages all motorists and pedestrians on K Street to stay alert and follow all signs as they travel through this corridor.
