DCBIA Program Highlights Growth of MVT and Strong Mixed-Use Market

On March 13th, the DC Building Industry Association hosted a morning panel discussion at the National Press Club about the Mount Vernon Triangle development dynamic. 124-Unit Apartment Building Announced For 4th & L St NW

A 124-unit multifamily apartment building with 6,000 square feet of retail is coming to the corner of 4th & L Streets, NW. The building is being developed by Blue Sky Housing, Paramount Development and Ellisdale Construction with design by architect BKV Group. The building will be 110 feet tall and offer mostly one-bedroom units. Education Forum & ULI Panel Discuss the MVT Community

In February, the MVT CID and Kids in the Triangle co-hosted an Education Forum with Kaya Henderson, Chancellor of DC Public Schools, Scott Pearson, Executive Director of DC Public Charter Schools, and Principal Michael Moss, Principal of The Walker Jones Education Campus. Brunch Now Served at Alba & Silo

Alba Osteria serves brunch with live music on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. Meridian II Tops Out on Thursday 2/6

The Meridian at Mount Vernon Triangle - Phase II is a 393-unit luxury apartment building. UDC GIS Students to Map Development of MVT

The University of the District of Columbia's Mapping the City course introduces students to GIS (geographic information systems) software -- software for creating maps of all kinds. Each semester, students apply their newly-learned skills to creating maps for a DC organization. In the spring of 2014, the students, under the guidance of Prof. Amanda Huron, are creating a series of maps for the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District. Ace Hardware's 4th Annual Ladies Night A Success

On February 4th, Ace Hardware hosted its 4th annual Ladies Night. Over 250 guests attended the event. This year's theme was Express Your Inner Do It Yourself (D.I.Y.). The store lined up a roster of local pros with expert advice on getting organized, easy D.I.Y fixes around the house, eco-cleaning, choosing window treatments and painting like a pro. It was a night filled with D.I.Y solutions and a party!
