Friday 3/28 Jazz Concert at Mount Carmel Baptist Church

Come enjoy the music of trumpeter Michael Fitzhugh and The Lionel Lyles Quintet next Friday, March 28 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The Jazz Cafe Concert is hosted in the downstairs Marsh Fellowship Hall at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church located at 901 3rd St NW. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. DCBIA Program Highlights Growth of MVT and Strong Mixed-Use Market

On March 13th, the DC Building Industry Association hosted a morning panel discussion at the National Press Club about the Mount Vernon Triangle development dynamic. 124-Unit Apartment Building Announced For 4th & L St NW

A 124-unit multifamily apartment building with 6,000 square feet of retail is coming to the corner of 4th & L Streets, NW. The building is being developed by Blue Sky Housing, Paramount Development and Ellisdale Construction with design by architect BKV Group. The building will be 110 feet tall and offer mostly one-bedroom units. Education Forum & ULI Panel Discuss the MVT Community

In February, the MVT CID and Kids in the Triangle co-hosted an Education Forum with Kaya Henderson, Chancellor of DC Public Schools, Scott Pearson, Executive Director of DC Public Charter Schools, and Principal Michael Moss, Principal of The Walker Jones Education Campus. The education forum discussed the success and ongoing efforts of both public schools and public charter schools and the needs of growing downtown families.

Brunch Now Served at Alba & Silo

Alba Osteria serves brunch with live music on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. The brunch menu includes a mix of Italian-inspired dishes and breakfast classics such as waffles topped with mortadella, egg, and saba sauce (pictured above), fried eggs and meatballs, egg white frittatas, and brunch pizzas.
